A Remarkable Restaurant, in a Remarkable Building...
The core of the building dates to around 1490–1500, making it over 500 years old. It was built as a timber-framed Tudor townhouse/shop.
45 Goodramgate is especially notable because it retains most of the original building and its original internal timber framing. A rare surviving example of a late-medieval urban commercial house.
It is now Grade I listed, the highest heritage designation in England.
